# Haunting

> Haunting is a community dedicated to sharing the unexplained. People post their own paranormal experiences as stories, photos, videos and audio recordings, and others read them, comment and react with "chills." Everyone can share anonymously, without an account, and without fear of judgment or ridicule. The Pledge commits the site to preventing AI-generated or artificially created photos, images, videos, audio and stories, so every post should come from a real person's experience.

Haunting is an English-language site. Posts written by users can be translated into Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), German, French, Japanese and Italian. Posting is anonymous: no account is needed to share a story, comment or react, and the name field is optional. Anyone can read posts without an account. When a post is created, the poster receives a management code, which lets them edit or delete that post later.

## What Haunting is for

- Sharing encounters: anything paranormal or supernatural, strange on camera, an unexplainable sound, or an experience that can't be explained.
- Preserving these accounts in one place, so they can be explored openly.
- Encouraging curiosity and respectful discussion. Visitors don't have to believe every story.
